About Us
“If you love something, that will work. That's the only real rule”
– Bunny Williams.
As rightly said, there are no rules when it comes to designing. A designer is free to run as wild as he can and play with colours, textures, shapes and materials. A designer strives to view each project as unique and is looking to develop a story using history and geography of that space. Even a tiny element can add uniqueness and life to your space.
Here at Home Strings Ltd, we strongly believe in inspiration not imitation. As an upcoming designer, my efforts are to curate and bring back the forgotten, lost traditional art forms and handicrafts back into style. Folk art is colourful, expressive and reflects the cultural life of our community. It has a strong influence on some of the art even today!
"Folk art is not only aesthetically pleasing or used for decorative purposes but can also be utilised in decorating spaces which adds a character and color to the space. Some forms of folk art are widely known all around the world whereas others may be unfamiliar outside of their respective countries or even regions. Furthermore, some countries may have even drawn inspiration from or their folk art might have been influenced by another country or region. The creativity of a designer lies on the way he can infuse a dose of history and references to create a timeless yet timely scenario."
